2 drown in Pangasinan, Isabela

MANILA, Philippines - Two men drowned in Pangasinan and Isabela on Sunday. 

The body of Benito Manuel, 78, who has been reported missing in an irrigation canal since last week, was washed ashore in Barangay San Bonifacio, San Manuel, Pangasinan. 

 Farmer Danilo Mendoza was carrying his fighting cock while crossing a river when he was swept away by the strong current in Barangay Diamantina, Cabatuan, Isabela.

Initial investigation showed Mendoza had just came from a drinking spree when the incident occurred.
