P10 M allotted for CARP beneficiaries
MANILA, Philippines - The provincial government of Sorsogon recently allocated close to P10 million in financial assistance for beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) said over the weekend.
Apart from the farmers, assistance will be given to agrarian reform beneficiaries’ organizations, local women and landowners.
The allocation was part of an agreement signed between the DAR and the provincial government to strengthen partnership development.
Provincial agrarian reform program officer Leonito Gaveria said part of the program was the presentation and unveiling of 11 development projects for farmer-beneficiaries, women and landowners in different municipalities.
Gov. Robert Lee Rodrigueza said through partnership and the commitment of every one involved in the project, farmers’ lives could be improved.
