Allowed to leave detention, Bong Revilla casts vote
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. on Monday was able to vote in his hometown Bacoor, Cavite, having been allowed by the Sandiganbayan to temporarily leave detention.
According to a Bilang Pilipino report, Revilla was accompanied by his son, Jolo, at the first hours following the opening of the precinct.

The younger Revilla is running for vice governor of Cavite as part of presidential candidate Sen. Grace Poe's senatorial slate. He is running with gubernatorial candidate Boying Remulla.
The Sandiganbayan granted the request of Revilla, respondent in a plunder case in connection with the pork barrel scam, on Friday, and was allowed to leave the Philippine National Police custodial center at Camp Crame at 6 a.m.
Revilla should be escorted back to the detention facility as soon as he is finished voting "without fanfare or caravan," the ruling stated.
Media interviews would not be allowed and Revilla would shoulder all expenses to be incurred, it added. — Camille Diola
