Engineer gunned down in Bulacan

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Police are investigating the motive for the killing of a city engineer in Barangay Calvario, Meycauayan, Bulacan on Tuesday.

Reynaldo Rivera, 51, assistant engineer of the Meycauayan City government, was in his Hyundai Tucson (AKE-306) when motorcycle-riding gunmen shot him several times as he passed F. Dazon street, said Senior Superintendent Ferdinand Divina, Bulacan police provincial director.

Divina said Rivera was declared dead on arrival at the Meycauayan Doctor’s Hospital.

Bulacan Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered shells for a caliber .45 pistol at the scene.

Divina said he ordered a manhunt for the suspects.
