‘Rapist’ kills self

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – A man stabbed himself dead after reportedly raping the daughters of his partner in Liloy town, Zamboanga del Norte Thursday night, police reported yesterday.

Arcinio Martonillas, 31, was found bloodied in his house in Barangay Mabuhay by police officers who were out to arrest him.

The rape was reported to the police by the victims’ mother, who said the suspect warned her he would kill himself if she files a complaint, said Inspector Dahlan Samuddin, spokesman for the Police Regional Office 9.
