2 bolt jail after killing guard, detainee

TUGUEGARAO CITY – Police have launched a manhunt for two detainees of the Apayao provincial jail who escaped after killing a jail guard and an inmate last Thursday.

Marcelino Dagdagan and his brother, Felix, are reportedly armed and dangerous, according to provincial police director Senior Superintendent Robert Gallardo.

Reports said the fugitives hacked Jail Officer 1 Damaso Patan Peru Jr. and inmate Huebert Fuerte before shooting them using the guard’s service firearm.

The fugitives, who are facing murder charges, were arrested in July last year.
