Maguindanao town official shot dead

COTABATO CITY , Philippines - A municipal administrator of South Upi town in Maguindanao was killed in an attack here last Friday.

Anastacio Sidik Roxas, 64, died at the scene from a gunshot wound in the armpit.

City police chief Senior Superintendent Rolen Balquin said Roxas was in a vehicle parked near a police precinct when an unidentified assailant shot him.

Investigators are still clueless on the suspect’s identity and the motive for the killing.
