Grandma dead, 5 hurt in Cagayan road mishap

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines - – A 56-year-old grandmother was killed while her son and grandaughter were hurt when the trailer tractor they were riding was hit by a speeding motorcycle along the national highway in Barangay Baybayog in Alcala town.

PO2 Guilbert Pajarillo, Alcala police investigator identified the fatality as Virginia Labanda and her son, George Labanda and Mary Grace, nine, as among those  injured.

Police said the motorcycle was driven by a village watchman Teodoro Marcos, 55, who was suspected to be drunk when the incident occurred.

Marcos and his back riders, Edmund and Alex Martirez, were also hurt.
