8 hurt as bus rams jeep in QC - report

MANILA, Philippines - Eight people were hurt after a speeding bus rammed a passenger jeepney in Quezon City, Friday morning. A radio report said that a green Korimba bus overtook a jeep, with a Cubao-Fairview route, along Commonwealth Avenue near the Commission on Human Rights building in Quezon City. While overtaking, the bus hit the side of the jeepney. The report said one of the female passengers of the jeepney was thrown out of the vehicle after it was hit by the bus. The injured passengers were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, Quezon City traffic enforcers managed to arrest the bus driver near the Tandang Sora Avenue flyover.
