MANILA, Philippines - Detained businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles celebrated her birthday in her cell at Fort Santo Domingo in Laguna on Wednesday.

Philippine National Police spokesman Reuben Sindac said in a radio report on Thursday that the alleged "pork barrel" scam mastermind had no special meals nor high-profile visitors in contrast to lavish gatherings she reportedly held before last year's arrest.

Sindac said that Napoles did not ask that her visitation hours be extended nor requested anything special unlike on Christmas when she asked that her family  be allowed to stay longer beyond the visiting hours.

Napoles was instead served her usual fare on her special day, namely ham and egg for breakfast, pork sinigang for lunch and paksiw na bangus for dinner.

Her husband Jaime, sons Christopher and James, a priest and four other friends joined her on Wednesday, Sindac said.

The police spokesman also noted Napoles' good mood throughout the day.
