INC office burglarized

BUTUAN CITY , Philippines   â€“ Burglars broke into the district office of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) in Barangay Rizal, Surigao City and took more than P300,000 in cash Saturday.

The city police said the thieves used a wooden ladder to get to the second floor of the Four Aces Building in Sito Kinabutan where the INC office is located.

The burglars entered through a window in the restroom of the office of INC district minister Eraño Basilio Villanueva.

INC officials said the P380,000 cash taken by the burglars belong to the Ingat Yaman Funds of the church and were earmarked for the allowances of church personnel.
