MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of a Cebu City college led 16,219 passers of the nurse licensure examination held last June, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said on Monday.
The PRC said a total of 16,219 out of 37,887 passed the exams in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Nueva Ecija, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
Velez College graduate Beverly Anne Balagon topped the exam, receiving a score of 87 percent.
University of Santo Tomas (UST) graduate Jamila Jane Borlagdan and Mylene Grace Dacula Gonzaga from West Visayas State University-La Paz landed on second place after both scoring 86.80 percent in the exam.
Two graduates of the University of the Philippines (UP) Manila, Ma. Stefanie Reyes and Aina Fe Salem, shared the third spot with UST graduate Lace Paulyn Rosaroso. They obtained a 86.20 percent rating in the exams.
Three state-run universities -UP Manila, West Visayas State University-La Paz, and Cebu Normal University- all ranked first in the list of 10 performing schools in this year’s exams.
All three had a passing rate of 100 percent, according to the PRC.
