BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Six Korean students and one Japanese student fell victims to burglars here on Thursday.

Burglars carted away P275,000 from Korean English language students Kim Yong Shin, Young Sang Bae, Jeong Hyun Kim, Shinzi Shozu, Si Yeon Lee, Jung Woo Hong and Japanese Okuhira Kazunari when their rooms at the Mt. View building in Green Valley barangay were broken into while they were sleeping.

Among those taken were a Sky phone, three Apple iPhones, two laptops, a Samsung laptop, two backpacks, a camera, Nike shoes, an Apple iPod, a Samsung Galaxy Note, five cellphones, Casio watch, 60,000 Korean dollars, $100 and P31,300 cash.

Authorities believe the burglary was an “inside job” because there was no forced entry into the victims’ rooms.

Burglaries in Baguio has remained unabated despite police avowals of operations and arrests of alleged robbers and burglars.
