2 dead in Negros grenade blast

BACOLOD City, Philippines – Two persons were killed and another was wounded when a grenade exploded in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental yesterday, police said. 

Cousins Jonathan and Ranie Sibugero died at the scene when a man, who was with the victims earlier at a drinking session, lobbed a grenade in their backyard in Barangay Mahalang.

 Jonathan’s younger brother, Jonerey, suffered minor injuries. 

Police are still investigating the motive for the crime.
