Wife files disbarment case vs. prosecutor in alleged sex video

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Two lawyers, whose alleged illicit sexual truce was caught on video, have been charged with disbarment before the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).

The legal wife of the male lawyer, who was initially identified as a prosecutor, filed the disbarment case. The wife claimed that she discovered the illicit affair of his wife and the lady lawyer through a sex vide.

Aside from the filing of the disbarment cases against the two lawyers, the legal wife also charged her husband before the court with violation of Republic Act No. 9262, otherwise known as the "Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004."

Republic Act No. 9262 provides for a "confidentiality clause" such that the identities of both the complainant and the respondents cannot be disclosed to the public.

The complainant also asked the court to grant her protection and order her husband to provide support to their children.

In the affidavit filed by the wife, she said that she already knew that her husband was having a relationship with another woman. She said that she had been trying to ignore the supposed illicit affair for the sake of the whole family.

Atty Trixie Angeles, spokesperson of the IBP, said that the two lawyers may also face civil and administrative charges.
