KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines – A regional trial court judge in this city dismissed drug trafficking charges against two men because the police officers arrested them without a warrant.
Judge Laureano Alzate, in a ruling Friday, set free Dario Mangkong and Ronnie Piang, who have been detained at the North Cotabato provincial jail since 2003.
Last month, Alzate dismissed similar charges against five men charged with peddling shabu in different towns of the province.
