BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – Two persons were confirmed dead and four were reported missing when the motorized banca they were riding with eight others capsized off northern Cagayan Tuesday night.
Senior Superintendent Mao Aplasca, Cagayan police director, said the ill-fated boat, M/V 8 Brothers, left Aparri town at daybreak but was struck by huge waves while on its way to Calayan town’s Camiguin Island where most of the passengers reportedly reside.
