Dagdag na quarantine facility inihahanda ng Quezon City
QUEZON CITY , Philippines — Isa pang quarantine facility ang inihahanda ng Quezon City goverment para sa mga COVID patients.
Bubuksan sa susunod na linggo ang bagong quarantine facility na ika-5 HOPE community-caring facility ng lokal na pamahalaan na matatagpuan sa city-owned Talipapa Senior High School building. May 67-bed capacity ito para sa mild at asymptomatic COVID-19 cases.
“Isolation is one of the key strategies in controlling the spread of COVID-19. Since we have seen a rise in numbers, we need to expand our quarantine facilities in order to accommodate those who cannot self-isolate in their homes,” ayon kay QC Mayor Joy Belmonte.
Sinabi ni Belmonte na bukod dito, ang Quezon City General Hospital ay magbubukas din ng isang 336-bed quarantine facility sa kanilang compound na tinawag na HOPE 4. ang pasilidad na ito ay lalagyan ng 4 dialysis machines at 10 beds para sa mga COVID-19 dialysis patients.
“As we ramp up our testing capacities, we also need to increase our facilities for confirmed or suspected patients. If we isolate them immediately, we can better protect their family from further infection especially if they are living with high risk individuals such as pregnant, senior citizens, and those with comorbidities,” sabi naman ni QC COVID-19 Task Force Head Joseph Juico.
Bukod sa dalawang pasilidad na ito, ang QC government ay katuwang ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) para buksan ang dagdag na dalawang pasilidad . Inihahanda na rin ng DPWH ang dagdag na 400 beds sa Emilio Jacinto Senior High School para magamit din na quarantine facility.
Ani Juico sa pamamagitan ng mga pasilidad na ito, mapapagaan ang pagdami ng mga pasyente sa mga ospital sa lugsod na higit nilang maaasikaso.
