MRT-3 train breaks down again
MANILA, Philippines — A train of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) suffered another breakdown yesterday morning.
Around 900 commuters were forced to get off a northbound train at the Guadalupe station in Makati at around 8:40 a.m., the Department of Transportation (DOTr) reported.
Power supply failure and defective air-conditioning unit caused the breakdown, according to the DOTr.
On Tuesday, an MRT-3 train stalled between the Ortigas and Shaw Boulevard stations, prompting more than 1,000 passengers to walk along the elevated railway.
