4 get 40 years for selling P1.3-M shabu

MANILA, Philippines - A Manila regional trial court sentenced four men to serve up to 40 years in prison for selling shabu five years ago.

Branch 13 Judge Emilio Legaspi III also fined Christian Tan, Novelo Anastacio, Nelson Salumbides and Mervin Oblefias P500,000 each in a 10-page decision issued on Aug. 2 and released to the media last Friday.

He also ordered them transferred to the New Bilibid Prison. 

Court records show the four men were arrested in a drug bust along M. dela Fuente street in Sampaloc, Manila on Aug. 14, 2012 for selling 500 grams of shabu for P1.3 million.
