Man held for rape try on woman, 83

MANILA, Philippines - A 50-year-old man was arrested after reportedly trying to rape an 83-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s disease in Malabon on Sunday night.

Operatives of the city police women’s and children’s desk apprehended Ernesto Dulap after the woman’s daughter sought assistance.  

The daughter said she saw Dulap coming out of her mother’s room naked at around 6 p.m.

The victim said Dulap had stripped her but was unable to rape her.

Charges of attempted rape have been filed against Dulap before the city prosecutor’s office.
