MANILA, Philippines – Commuters of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) were inconvenienced anew yesterday morning due to technical problems.

Rochelle Gamboa, LRT Line 1 corporate communications head, said only 13 trains or 45 light rail vehicles were dispatched at 5:30 a.m. due to a broken catenary.

Gamboa said the problem was fixed at 1:30 p.m.

MRT commuters were forced to get off the train due to a glitch at the Quezon Avenue station at past 9 a.m.

The MRT resumed normal operations after a few minutes.
