Las Piñas extends tax payment deadline

MANILA, Philippines - The Las Piñas City government has extended the deadline for the renewal of permits and the payment of taxes up to Feb. 27, an official said last Thursday.

Mayor Vergel Aguilar appealed to business and property owners to pay taxes, saying the city’s annual income of P1.7 billion – which is the smallest, compared to the income of adjoining cities – could barely sustain the city government’s services.
