Teenager killed in drinking session

A teenager was stabbed dead by his friends, following a row during a drinking session in Tondo, Manila at midnight yesterday. 

Crispin Ospion, 17, resident of Morong Street died before reaching Ospital ng Maynila. He suffered a stab wound in his chest. 

One of the two suspects, identified as Florencio Linsangan, 19, a delivery boy, was immediately arrested while the other one, Edward Simplicio of Tambunting Street in Sta. Cruz, escaped. 

Police Officer 3 Jonathan Ruiz of the Homicide Section of Manila Police District, said Ospion and the suspects quarreled while in a drinking spree at the house of their friend. 

Ospion told his cousins and friends that the suspects threatened to kill him. He asked his cousins to accompany him in meeting the suspects to settle the dispute. But while waiting at their house on Tambunting Street, Linsangan and Simplicio suddenly appeared and stabbed him. 

The two then fled on foot toward Abad Santos Street. Responding policemen were able to corner Linsangan, who was immediately brought to the police station.

Murder charges were filed against the suspects.  – Edu Punay
