Gas station robbed in Las Piñas

A gasoline station was robbed by four armed men last Friday in Las Piñas City.

PO3 Eduardo Rodaje II, officer-on-case, said that First Metro Gas Petron located along Real Street, Alabang-Zapote Road, Pamplona Uno, Las Piñas City, was robbed of cash amounting to P38,600 at around 3 p.m.

Rodaje identified the owner of the gas station as Vangie Cuenca, Talon Dos, Las Piñas City.

Security guard Orlando Pepito and gasoline boys Jay Arevalo, Abner Velasco, and Nhiel Cipriano were on duty when the four unidentified armed suspects conducted the heist.

The robbers swooped down the gas station on board two motorcycles — a yellow green Kawasaki Enduro and a blue Honda XRM — without license plates.

They threatened the staff with a caliber .45 pistol and took Pepito’s service firearm — a 12-gauge shotgun and wallet containing P2,000 cash.

The suspects later divested the gasoline station of its earnings for the day which amounted to P38,600 before fleeing.

Rodaje said they are now conducting follow-up investigation that will lead to the identification and possible arrest of the suspects.

He added that an artist’s sketch of the suspects will soon be released to be used in their follow-up operations. — Rodina Villanueva
