November 3 a working day, says Palace    

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang yesterday clarified that Nov. 3 is not a holiday.

“Fake news,” Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said in a text message when asked about information circulating online that Nov. 3 is a non-working day.

Nov. 1 (All Saints’ Day) and Nov. 2 (All Souls’ Day) have been declared holidays through Proclamation No. 42 signed by President Marcos in August last year.

Earlier this week, the Presidential Communications Office said Malacañang has no plans to declare Oct. 31, the day after the village and youth council elections, as a holiday.

Marcos declared Oct. 30 a non-working day to allow Filipinos to vote during the elections.
