No room for complacency in Duterte Cabinet Palace

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — There is no room for complacency in the Cabinet of President Duterte even if people gave its members a “good” satisfaction rating at +35 in the December 2018 Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, the highest for the Chief Executive’s official family for the year 2018.

Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo said the Palace is pleased with the ratings as it promised to do more.

“Complacency has no room in the remaining three and a half years of the administration as we marshal all our energies and talents in assisting the President give fruition to his single-minded goal of bringing about the desired changes in our society,” read his statement yesterday.

Panelo stressed that the satisfactory rating given to the Cabinet is a source of inspiration for them to work harder to deliver Duterte’s commitment to provide a comfortable life to Filipinos.

The rating, he added, is a result of the President’s constant reminder to his Cabinet members that they are there to serve.

“Once again, we urge our countrymen of whatever political strife and religious belief to set aside our differences and create a chain of harmony and peace that will propel our nation to development and progress. Let us be each brother’s keeper and let love reign amongst us,” Panelo said. – With Christina Mendez
