(UPDATE) 3 hurt in Bukidnon blast

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines (Xinhua) - At least three people were injured after a bomb exploded in a passenger bus in Bukidnon this afternoon.

Local authorities said the explosion occurred inside a Rural Transit bus which was traveling along Maramag highway in Bukidnon province.

The explosion shattered the rearmost portion of the bus and injured at least three passengers who were rushed to a hospital.

Police said they are still investigating the type of bomb used and the group or individuals behind the attack.
