Group endorses Cayetano

URDANETA CITY, Philippines – The Abono party-list found an ally in re-electionist Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano in its fight against rice smuggling.

Rosendo So, the group’s founder, endorsed Cayetano’s senatorial bid before various groups of farmers and fishermen.

So said they wrote President Aquino about rice smuggling in the country and that their efforts bore fruits following the seizure of the P1.2-billion smuggled rice in Cebu.

“We thank Senator Alan Peter Cayetano because our communication for Malacañang reached the President,” he said.

Cayetano was warmly received by farmers, fishermen and members of the agricultural community, including those from the Abono party-list, the Pangasinan Federation of Irrigators Association, the Integrated Fisheries Aquatic Resources Management Council and the Pangasinan Municipality Fisheries Council.
