Company launches version of 'E-Bike'

- Rhodina Villanueva -

MANILA, Philippines - A company engaged in the manufacture of bicycles and scooters has launched their version of the “E-Bike” which it claimed is environment-friendly as it will not reportedly contribute to air and noise pollution.

Kang Ding Wu of TAILG Marketing said that the E-Bike they are now promoting will be very useful to motorists as it runs on battery and does not need gasoline.

“It is very easy to operate, you just have to switch it on. Charging is very easy. Once it is fully charged, it can be used three to five days (that is around 60 to 100 kilometers),” said Wu.

He stressed that because of the increasing price of gasoline in the country, this will help people in availing of cheap but reliable mode of transportation.

“Presently, the E-Bike is already being used in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Japan, America and Europe. Every year, an additional 100 million families use electric bicycle instead of motorcycle,” the TAILG official said.

E-Bike became No. 1 in China in 2010 and after a year of being introduced in the market, over one million units of the E-Bike have been sold in different countries.

Wu said that in the Philippines, they have already started to communicate with contact persons in Laoag, Vigan, La Union, Tarlac and Pampanga while in Metro Manila, TAILG is starting to market the E-Bike in the cities of Pasay and Mandaluyong.

He said all the parts of the bike – affordable at P26,000 per unit – came from China.
