Immediate road repairs ordered

MANILA, Philippines - Public Works and Highways Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane directed yesterday all DPWH field personnel to immediately repair roads and bridges destroyed by storm “Ondoy.”

“Once water subsides, Secretary Ebdane wants all potholes repaired to bring back normalcy to road travel,” DPWH Undersecretary Romeo Momo said.

Momo said the agency’s regional directors and district engineers have been mobilized to repair damaged roads and bridges and to assist stranded passengers. – Helen Flores
