Keylyn Trajano to give a good fight at MGI all STARS

MANILA, Philippines — The Miss Grand International (MGI) All Stars’ journey of Keylyn Trajano has begun. She’s now in Thailand to attend various activities with other global delegates. Keylyn is one of the four Pinays who are also representing the country.
Aside from rehearsals, Keylyn and fellow candidates will be doing runway and portrait challenges as well as evening gown, bare face, swimsuit and interview round-competitions, according to information available on the Miss Grand International’s Facebook page. They are part of the preliminary round prior to the finale, which takes place on May 30. There are 58 contestants from 38 countries vying for the title, it adds.
The new competition of pulchritude and personality is one of its kind. A country may have one or more participants who have already taken part in international beauty pageants. So, they have a full grasp of the pageantry.
The STAR and an online news website had a recent chat with Keylyn. The former asked about her few notes to herself as an MGI All Stars contender, aiming to be its inaugural winner.
“Definitely remove the pressure,” said she. “Breathe, rest, sleep, you know. (Take) a moment to sit back and talk to a friend or just, you know, cancel out, like (if) your social batteries are reducing. Take time to relax. Take time to rest. Take time to sleep. Close your eyes and meditate. And then go back again and keep on trying.”
This is her way to clear her head and keep her eye on the prize, as one may put it.
“I came onto this competition with no regrets and (with) full-on energy,” added she, expressing her desire to work with organizations with or without the crown.
Keylyn said one needs to work day by day to reach the end goal. That’s to win and secure the title. Part of it is getting the nod of the organization, support of the fans and votes (of audiences). It’s also clear to her that the road to becoming Miss Grand International All Stars may not be easy since all the candidates are equally strong given their pageant background.
As a country’s bet, Keylyn said she has to make sure “to give a good fight, to present the best and to represent the Philippines… Laban lang, try lang (just fight and give it a try).”
Her campaign in MGI All Stars will also be guided by one of her mantras, “Every time someone says (or asks me), ‘Are you tired?’ You know what I’d say, ‘I never get tired and I’m just overwhelmed,’ and that’s my mantra.’”
Knowing what the organization is looking for in its winner is one of the challenges in participating in a beauty pageant’s inaugural or first edition.
“(It’s) finding the mold and finding the right person,” said she. “Who are they looking for? What is this new platform? And how are we (the beauty delegates) gonna evolve towards this (the competition)? Actually, that’s the exciting part of it because it’s the anticipation part of it really.”
The beauty queen also said to live in the present “and see how you are gonna work and be molded through this journey, like how life molds people,” shared she, “and find where you belong, find what’s for you and find your path. This is a new and inaugural pageant, which is looking for, you know, a strong leader, a queen of queens because this is an all-stars.”
The winner has to surpass what she has done before and offer something new, continued Keylyn, a creative and a marketing professional who has worked with various brands.
Following her thoughts, one could say that once the winner is chosen, everyone will finally have an idea of what MGI All Stars stands for in the world of pageantry.
