Dimples Romana on Bea Alonzo amid marriage rumors: She’s so happy
“Gud morning kapatid” host Dimples Romana shared a heartfelt message for her longtime friend Bea Alonzo, expressing that she will always be there for her and celebrate her happiness in “whatever season of life” she may be in.
Bea is rumored to have recently tied the knot with businessman Vincent Co.
In an interview during the TV5 and TRUE FM’s “Red Hot Kapatid Summer” event in San Juan, La Union last Saturday, Dimples recalled to The STAR her 25-year friendship with Bea.
“Ang ganda ng friendship ko with my friends (in showbiz). They always say before, like, it’s hard daw to have friends in the business. I disagree kasi kami nga nila Angel (Locsin), 18 years. Bea and I, we’ve been friends since, I think 25 years na. I was 16 when I first worked with her in ‘Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay’ and I’m so excited to be part of her journey even until now,” she shared.
This paper also asked if she and Bea have shared any advice about “married life.” Dimples replied, “Of course, marami siyang na-sha-share, but yung pag-sha-share niya parang siya na lang mag-sha-share sa inyo. Haha! Baka magalit naman sa akin at ma-friendship over pa kami.”
“But you know in terms of my friends, Bea, I don’t think she would mind if I share. But of course, as a friend, hindi mo naman gagawin yun, di ba? But I just want you to know that she’s so happy, and I think yun lang naman ang gusto mo bilang friend. I have met Vincent several times already, and what a warm, warm guy. I love him so much.
In fact, Boyet gets along with him very well, my husband. Hanggang dun na lang,” added she.
Nevertheless, she conveyed her earnest message to Bea, saying, “Bea, I love you very much. Whatever season of your life you are in, I’m always here for you and always just celebrating your joys with you.”
Recently, Dimples also penned touching words for Angel, who celebrated her birthday last April 23, on social media, along with throwback photos of them. “I thought I’d give her a mix of our photos from way back because 18 years na yung friendship namin. It all started during ‘Lobo’ (series).”
“So, kung napanood nila yun, ‘Lobo’ was our first show, and from then on, we did more projects together. But I’m so grateful that even after all the projects that we’ve done, even after the pandemic, we’ve remained very good friends. Nakaka-pag-walking, nakakapag-bonding, and I think we’re closer than ever in that sense,” said she.
Moreover, after her last series “High Street” in 2024, will Dimples return to TV acting?
She revealed that she has been offered three times by the Kapatid network an acting project. “I cannot wait until I’m able to start one with them. Lagi kasing nagkakaroon ng conflict with my other prior commitments. I think my prior commitments will be ending this June. So, hopefully, after that, I get to start something with them,” she said.
Dimples added that she can do both antagonist and protagonist roles, as well as any genre. “You know what, I’m so excited talaga and by that time, imagine na lang you know the hunger that I have for being able to deliver for you, guys.”
“I think sa mga artistang kagaya namin ‘pag lumaki ka na sa industriyang ‘to, naka-habi na sa pagkatao mo yung pag-arte and recently, I got a car, it’s a red car because na-miss ko si Daniela Mondragon. So, let’s hope that our Kapatid might be able to offer something of the same caliber to me.”
How about a reunion project with Bea and Angel?
“Why not?” Dimples reacted. “I mean, you cannot predict, but I hope that at one time, lahat kami when we’re already done life-ing, life is life-ing lately. Angel has her priorities. Bea has priorities as well. Ako din, I have my children, and I’m doing the morning show, ‘Gud Morning Kapatid.’ Don’t you worry as soon as I get wind of it, you will be the first to know.”
Dimples was joined by her “Gud Morning Kapatid” co-hosts Angela Lagunzad-Castro, Mondi Lopez, DJ Chacha and Alvin Pura during the “Red Hot Kapatid Summer” show with Sam Coloso as event host. TV5 artists Yasmine Jill and Iven Lim (“My Bespren Emman”) were also present at the event where rock bands Autotelic, Sandwich and 6Cyclemind’s Tutti Caringal delivered energetic sets.
