MANILA, Philippines — Star Cinema's "Tayo Sa Wakas" may be the last time Filipinos will see Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano onscreen together for a while.

Donny and Belle, who form the DonBelle love team, appeared on fellow Kapamilya Bianca Gonzalez's video podcast "Paano Ba 'To?!" to promote their upcoming film directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana.

After discussing their individual growth and revisiting past roles, Bianca asked the actors where does "Tayo Sa Wakas" fit in their respective lives.

Belle was careful not to spoil the movie and explained it was about finding one's individuality and identity on their own, which is the situation she and Donny find themselves in now.

"Kasi sometimes it's not just falling in love with your partner, it's also falling in love with yourself, and we forget that sometimes," Donny added. "I think that's one of the biggest things this film will showcase. You can't forget about yourself... two incomplete people doesn't make a whole, it could make it worse."

Donny then shared after acknowledging the numerous projects with Belle that they decided "Tayo Sa Wakas" would be their last DonBelle project for now.

Bianca was visibly shocked at the revelation and Belle made it clear it was a mutual decision. The pair explained that it is the reason the project required growth from them, including time apart from each other.

Bianca asked DonBelle, who were now holding hands, how they were feeling knowing there won't be any DonBelle projects for the time being.

"Siguro we're just at a point where we're choosing to support each other through this and each other's growth," Donny said after he and Belle agreed that they were initally scared.

"Obviously it's hard kasi we're going through it sa shoot na 'di namin alam kailan ang next time... but I'm glad we get to go through this together," the actor added.

Donny reiterated that he is proud and grateful for everything he and Belle have done since 2021's "He's Into Her," adding that "Tayo Sa Wakas" was for now the best route to cap it all off.

"It's scary, yes, but exciting also, and knowing that, parang we're really so dedicated in doing this project really, really well," Belle said.

In between "He's Into Her" and "Tayo Sa Wakas," the DonBelle tandem headlined "An Inconvenient Love," "He's Into Her," "Love Is Color Blind," "Can't Buy Me Love," and most recently, "How to Spot a Red Flag."

Since being paired together, Donny's projects without Belle have been the film "GG: Good Game" and the action series "Roja."

Belle, meanwhile, has starred without Donny in the movie "Huling Sayaw," an episode of "Click, Like, Share," the action show "Incognito," and "Meet, Greet & Bye," also directed by Garcia-Sampana.
