Richard Gutierrez says he’s not yet ready to start a family with Barbie Imperial

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actor Richard Gutierrez said he is not yet planning to start a family with his girlfriend, Barbie Imperial.
In an interview with the media after the press conference for his upcoming series "Blood vs Duty," Richard said that the show is his main focus right now.
“Family? Naku, malayo pa! Mina-manage ko pa ‘yung isa kong family (mga anak), mahirap at naka-focus ako ngayon sa work," he said.
“Itong Blood vs Duty, ito ang main focus ko right now, I’m not looking beyond anything beyond just right now. Inspired sa life, inspired sa work, good times ahead especially now na nasa first slot kami ng primetime,” he added.
Richard admitted that he feels the pressure of his show's timeslot.
"Blood vs Duty" will be aired after "TV Patrol," a timeslot held by Coco Martin for years.
“Since I moved to ABS-CBN, wala pang nakakapasok do’n sa timeslot as male lead, di ba? So, ngayon pa lang na may male lead na papasok aside of course kay Coco," he said.
“So, it’s a big challenge for us and we are accepting the challenge and we are excited for this opportunity at may pressure,” he added.
ABS-CBN unleashes its newest series “Blood vs Duty” to ignite primetime with intense action and compelling drama beginning April 6, featuring a bold take on systemic abuse that puts loyalty and sworn duty to the test.
Richard, Bela Padilla and Gerald Anderson lead the Kapamilya series, with Baron Geisler and Barbie Imperial.
The new action-drama is directed by FM Reyes, Bjoy Balagtas and Rico Navarro, with Erwin Tagle serving as action director.
Written by Dindo Perez, Cenon Palomares, Jann Kayla Mendoza and Shania Vonzel, it revolves around lives divided by circumstance and compelled into conflict by fate.
