Kit Thompson held by police for allegedly abusing girlfriend Ana Jalandoni

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Ana Jalandoni was rescued by the police after reportedly being injured and detained by her boyfriend, actor Kit Thompson, in a hotel in Tagaytay, as confirmed by Tagaytay police.

According to an ABS-CBN report, Thompson has been brought to the police station for questioning, while Jalandoni is undergoing medical treatment for injuries.  

Authorities were reportedly alerted after Jalandoni pleaded for help from her friends and sent a picture of herself with her supposed injuries. 

Tagaytay Philippine National Police confirmed to ABS-CBN that they have rescued the actress after receiving a call from a hotel in Tagaytay.

A photo of Jalandoni with swollen black eyes is being spread on Twitter.

Ana and Kit first confirmed their romantic relationship in December last year.
