Bea Alonzo reveals contracting COVID-19, encourages followers to get booster shot

MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this year, recalling difficulty in breathing. 

In her Instagram account, Bea posted a photo of her getting her booster shot. 

“Got boosted last night!” she wrote. 

“The start of this year was challenging. I caught COVID early January (just like most people because of the covid surge), And at that time, I was also struggling with the worst muscle spasm, all while getting ready for my dream shoot. A brand endorsement I never thought would happen. (ticked off that box ?),” she added. 

The actress also encouraged her followers to have their booster shot to help end the pandemic. 

“It was a challenging moment, I got most of the symptoms, and I was having a hard time breathing, but I survived!” she said. 

“Posting this to encourage you to get the booster if you haven't already. Let’s help end this pandemic,” she added. 

Bea and boyfriend Dominic Roque recently celebrated their first anninversarry as a couple. 

“It took so much patience from you, but here we are. And I have to say, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made,” Bea said in the caption. 

“Happy anniversary, hun,” she added.
