Sue’s Belo billboard launched in style

Everyone dreams to be “immortalized” on a billboard. Sue Ramirez never thought she would realize her own dream so soon…and in style yet!

“Sue deserves to bloom,” declared Dr. Vicki Belo. “It’s time for her to bloom.”

The star of Sunshine Family (still showing in some theaters nationwide, a co-production between Spring Films and the Korean company Film Line, with Shamaine Centenera and Nonie Buencamino) is endorsing Thermage FLX of the Belo Medical Group (BMG), the leading aesthetic dermatological clinic in the country. Thermage FLX is a fourth-generation version equipped with improved technology that allows for higher patient comfort and significantly enhanced results. Once again, Belo is the first in the country to offer the many advantages of the new Thermage machine.

Sue’s billboard was launched on May 12 at Las Casas Filipinas in Quezon City, graced by her family and friends who were served a sumptuous merienda of Filipino street food favorites prepared by Margarita Fores, one of Asia’s top chefs. The venue was dolled up with flowers in bloom by none other than Robert Blancaflor.

Sue was emotional as she thanked her Belo Family.

“My family knows that it has been my dream to have a billboard on EDSA,” said Sue. ”Nagka-totoo na!”

As a surprise to Sue, her good friend Iñigo Pascual serenaded her and the guest with a song.

If there’s one beauty insecurity that you want to address today, what is it?

“My double chin. It has affected me in my work, everyday life. I feel when I look in the mirror or do selfie, first thing I notice is my double chin. It has always been a big insecurity of mine.

Do you get comments on social media about it?

“You know what I do? I make fun of myself with it. I like to post pictures na nakalabas talaga ‘yung double chin ko. Some people find it cute and a lot of people like it naman. When it’s for a ‘wacky’ shot, it’s okay. But not when I’m trying to project a serious pose or a pretty post. It’s so bothersome me and some people actually notice it. They call me siopao, ang laki daw ng face ko, round kasi, eh.“

How long have you been doing Thermage?

“My last Thermage procedure was last year. But today, I did the Belo Thermage FLX. That I feel really good about and I can really see the difference between this one and what I did last year because it’s way faster. The effect was more relaxing during the procedure. It’s very quick and more advanced so I love the result.”

How soon did you see the effect?

“Immediately. It’s like magic. I always say that Thermage is like magic because of the instant result. The best thing about it that there is no downtime. So you don’t have to wait. You can wash your face right after doing it. You can put on make-up. You don’t have to wait for 24 hours to wash your face or a few hours to do that. You can do it right away.”

What can you say to millennials like you about taking care of their skin at a young age?

“They should start now. It’s very hard when you start late. It’s true: Prevention is better than cure. My advice: Take care of your skin, take care of your face, wash your face and don’t sleep with your make-up on.”
