Winners in Portugal Filmfest

MANILA, Philippines — Ina Raymundo and Ai-Ai delas Alas tied for Best Actress in the just-concluded 39th Oporo (Fantasporto) International Film Festival (OFIFF) in Portugal, Ina for Kuya Wes and Ai-Ai for School Service. Dante Rivero won Best Actor for Kung Paano Hinihintay ang Dapithapon.

Other Filipinos who won were:

• Louie Ignacio, Special Jury Prize in Orient Express Section, for School Service (written by Onay Sales and produced by Baby F. Go of BG Productions); and

• Carlo Enciso Catu, Special Jury Prize in Director’s Week Section, for Kung Paano Hinihintay ang Dapithapon (written by John Carlo Pacala).

The three award-winning films were finalists in the 2018 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival.
