Dennis Trillo applauds Coco Martin for 'Ang Probinsyano''s TV ratings success

MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo recently congratulated Kapamilya actor Coco Martin for winning the primetime television ratings game.

Coco posted on his Instagram account on Wednesday a photo showing the national and rural TV ratings of his show “Ang Probinsyano” versus Dennis' and Dingdong Dantes’ “Cain at Abel” on GMA.

In Coco’s post, Kantar Media reported that ABS-CBN’s longest running teleserye garnered 41.7 percent national viewership against 13.7 percent for GMA’s drama. The former also garnered 44.3 percent in rural viewership while the latter got 13.3 percent.

Instagram users commended Dennis' remarks, saying the actor showed humility.

“@dennistrillo super humble mo po for you to say this. And humble din po si mr. coco martin. Love you both po,” an Instagram user commented.

“dennistrillo congrats din pos a cain at abel pareho po kayong panalo sa lahat dahil napapasasaya nyo kami lalo na kaming mga ofw,” another user commented.

This is not the first time the two communicated on Instagram.

Back in November when 'Cain at Abel' first aired, Dennis posted a photo about his show that Coco 'liked.' Dennis commented, "Salamat sa pag like Cardo @mr.cocomartin" then Coco replied with "Congrats Bro sana magkatrabaho tayo soon!!!"
