Netflix stars Penn Badgley and Shay Mitchell to visit Manila

MANILA, Philippines —  Hollywood actors Penn Badgley and Shay Mitchell are set to visit Manila this January.

Stars of the Netflix original series “You,” Penn and Shay, will be in the country for a special fan event on January 15 at The Greenbelt Gallery, 2nd level, Greenbelt 5.

The venue will be designed like the Mooney’s Bookstore in the show to allow fans to feel what it's like to be in the series.
 
In the psychological thriller, Penn plays Joe Goldberg, a manager at Mooney’s where he meets and falls in love with Beck (played by Elizabeth Lail). Shay plays Peach Salinger, Beck’s best friend, who is a distant cousin of famous writer JD Salinger.
 
“You” is based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name.

Penn is best known as Dan Humphrey in the hit series “Gossip Girl” while Shay, a Filipino-Canadian actress, is known for her role as Emily Fields in the series “Pretty Little Liars.”
