Cebu beauty named 2017 Reyna ng Aliwan

MANILA, Philippines - Marla Alforque (center), 20, representing the Sinulog Festival of Cebu, was crowned as 2017 Reyna ng Aliwan last Saturday night. She received P100,000 cash and sponsors’ gifts.

Marla is the eighth winner from Cebu’s Sinulog Festival in the 15-year history of Aliwan Fiesta. She’s a B.S. Education graduate and currently works as a secretary in the legal department of the Department of Public Works and Highways in Cebu. 

Her court includes a first runner-up (with P50,000 cash prize) and three second runners-up (with P10,000 cash each), from left: Ariella Jazmine Roque of Tuna Festival of General Santos City (second); Apriel Smith of Utanon Festival of Dalaguete, Cebu (first); Maria Ahtisa Manalo of Niyog-yugan Festival of Quezon (second); and Venisse Charm Costibolo of Sangyaw Festival of Tacloban City (second).
