Much ado about Naku, Boss Ko!

Left: Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid hope the show will help the youth to vote wisely. Right: Director Marlon Rivera

Naku, Boss Ko! is a political-rom-com mini-series on the 2016 Philippine Elections to be aired by GMA Network, starring Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid. Part of the supporting cast are Martin del Rosario and Kylie Padilla.

After being paired with other artists, Gabbi and Ruru are back, more known by their uniname GabRu. The two were last paired in Let The Love Begin also by GMA. “It’s been a while since we had a romantic-comedy project, and we can’t wait for our comeback on the small screen,” Ruru said.

The story will revolve on two star-crossed lovers from competing political affiliations and opposing economic status. Gabbi and Ruru will show where their relationship stands in the middle of the “contentious” election season.

“It’s a two-week special. It’s a series from GMA News TV pero sa GMA Telebabad siya ipapalabas,” said Gabbi.

Gabbi added that the series will hopefully help educate today’s generation of voters. It’s nice that for the first time they are able to relate to the politics of rom-com. This is their chance to think of who they will vote for.

Gabbi and Ruru are joined by veteran actors Leo Martinez and Tessie Tomas, and newcomer Arianne Bautista, with Marlon Rivera at the helm.
