MANILA, Philippines - First, as you must have already heard, the bad news: Angel Locsin (photo) won’t be doing Darna due to health reasons even after she underwent various rigorous training for two years.
“It is with deep regret that Angel, together with ABS-CBN and Star Cinema, are making this announcement,” said Kane Errol Choa, head of the Kapamilya Corporate Communications. “Unfortunately, the strenuous activities that included stunts, liftings and the usage of harness required for the action scenes have resulted in the development of a disc bulge in her spine that needs rehabilitation and treatment.”
Now, the good news: Fans will still see Angel in Star Cinema’s All Of My Life with Vilma Santos. Angel’s physical condition doesn’t prevent her from finishing the project.
