Well, there’s Alden Richards who was refused entry into a “big house” and eliminated by the Kapuso talent search StarStruck after reaching only the initial list of 60 hopefuls. Look at him now…the Pambansang Bae, Pambansang Dimples, Pambansang whatever else.

Then there’s Rocco Nacino who lost to what’s-his-name-now? also in StarStruck. Today, Rocco is one of GMA Network’s prime leading men. He is currently part of Beautiful Strangers playing the role of Noel, a mechanic who loves Joyce (Lovi Poe, his real-life girlfriend) so much only to fall for Kristine (Heart Evangelista). His previous Kapuso shows include Hiram na Alaala, Akin Pa Rin Ang Bukas, Titser, Bayan Ko, Unforgettable, The Good Daughter, etc. He is also part of the indie film Flotsam with Solenn Heussaff.

Alden and Rocco were in the same StarStruck batch. Rocco remembers Alden lending him shirts. During a recent episode on GMA’s Sunday PINASaya that required them to jump into a pool, it was Rocco’s turn to lend Alden an underwear (Alden forgot to bring another pair). Payback time. “It’s good that I had a few new ones,” said Rocco.

“Sexy is smart, funny, goal-oriented. These traits turn me on.”

“When I wake up and I stretch, and that moment when you’re about to take a bath and you remove your clothes.”

“Wee hours of the morning. As I said, when you wake up and you have to stretch. It triggers lots of sensations.”

“Hmmm, Troy. And, of course, Fifty Shades of Grey. But I felt  awkward watching it. Hahahaha!!!”

“One with Solenn for our surf movie. Bikinis, white bed, great camera angles, a topless me. Hahahaha!!! We enjoyed watching the playback after the scene!”

“I don’t think I can divulge that. Hahahaha!!!”
