Tom & Carla’s Ukay-Ukay on 2nd year
MANILA, Philippines - Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana (photo) are back for their second year as the ambassadors of the GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF)-organized Celebrity Ukay-Ukay. After the success of last year’s Tom and Carla’s Celebrity Ukay-Ukay, the two renewed their partnership with GMAKF last Sept. 9.
The annual GMAKF Christmas project, done in cooperation with Cut Unlimited, Inc., has been supported by various Kapuso celebrities since it started five years ago -— continuously making a significant impact in the lives of many underprivileged Filipinos.
Brand-new and pre-loved items from Tom, Carla and various artists will be sold at the Noel Bazaar on Nov. 26 to 30 at the World Trade Center and on Dec. 18 to 20 at the SMX, Mall of Asia. Proceeds raised by the Celebrity Ukay-Ukay will go directly to GMAKF’s various year-round socio-civic programs such as the Kapuso School Development, Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan and Give A Gift Alay sa Batang Pinoy Christmas.
