5 views on what morons are made of

No truth to the rumor that if you watch a movie about morons, you are one of them, too. Joke!

The truth is that thousands of “morons” trooped to the theaters in 2012 and made Moron 5 and the Crying Lady a big hit, prompting Viva Films to come up with a sequel, Moron 5.2: The Transformation (opening nationwide on Nov. 5, Wednesday next week), also directed by box-office director Wenn Deramas and starring Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Marvin Agustin, DJ Durano and Matteo Guidicelli (who replaces Martin Escudero who was in the first movie).

John “Sweet” Lapus reprises her Becky Pamintuan character, the bitter-gay nemesis of the five morons whom she sent to prison for allegedly murdering her father. The five morons are now family men unaware that Becky has escaped from a mental asylum.

Now, if you spot a bitter-gay who looks like Sweet roaming in your neighborhood, she must be Becky, so you are advised to report her to the authorities pronto. Another joke!

To find out how moronic Luis, Billy, Marvin, Matteo and DJ are, Funfare put them in an acid “moronic” test and, as you will see, they indeed qualify as moronic. Still another joke? You can never tell.

What one moronic thing have you done so far, maybe to yourself or to somebody?

Marvin: When I said yes to work with Luis, Billy, DJ and now Matt. It’s the biggest mistake I have done in my life!

Luis: Majority of my moronic moments came out of love, maybe not realizing someone’s worth.

Matteo: One moronic thing I remember was that I got into a plane to Cebu and I realized that I was on the wrong plane! It was going to Davao. I was lucky to have double-checked my boarding pass and reported it to the flight attendant. Then, I was able to get on the right flight.

Billy: I was supposed to be on tour for two years straight and I ended up in the hospital with a broken jaw.

DJ: I think all of us do moronic things in our everyday lives. Sometimes, we know it and just make fun of our blunders. Sometimes, we just let moronic things be and dismiss them as mistakes. I think we are all morons but we just deny it.

What moronic alibi have you given your girlfriend to hide your infidelity?
Marvin:
Never akong nangaliwa.

Luis: Not necessarily infidelity but I have used the moronic statement “It’s not you, it’s me.”

Matteo: Let me think…No, I have never been unfaithful.

Billy: Di ako nangangaliwa.

DJ: Honestly, I haven’t given any moronic alibi to my girlfriend and I have no intention of doing it. I love her so much to do it to her.

How can you tell if a girl you’re courting is moronic?

Marvin: She’s moronic if she’s not interested in me.

Luis: If she doesn’t say yes…hahahahaha!!!

Matteo: Can’t have that; can’t have two morons in a relationship.

Billy: When she said yes to me. Joke!

DJ: If she thinks highly of herself…’yung nagmamaganda na hindi naman.

Who do you think is the most moronic among the five of you?

Marvin: My honest opinion? ALL OF US!

Luis: Lahat kami ay morons at one point or another. If there were a competition, there would be a five-way tie.

Matteo: Who do you think?

Billy: We all have moronic tendencies.

DJ: I think all of us in the cast are morons in a way. But I must admit that I am the most moronic among us.
