Sa Puso Ni Dok finale tonight

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Expect more intense scenes as Sa Puso Ni Dok, the first medical drama on Philippine television produced by GMA News and Public Affairs, unveils its finale tonight at 9:30 after Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho on GMA 7.

Topbilled by Dennis Trillo together with Bela Padilla, the six-part weekly mini-series has become an eye-opener for viewers on the harsh realities of public health in the country.

Since it premiered last month, viewers followed the budding relationship between Doc Dennis (Dennis), the unorthodox head resident doctor of Melchora Aquino General Hospital, and the neophyte physician Doc Gab (Bela). The lead characters faced a number of medical crises in the hospital which led them to get closer. However, love remains improbable because of some issues and people surrounding them.

Tonight, Doc Dennis and Doc Gab face a new dilemma: Doc Dennis’ mother, Aling Gloria, searches for his son when she finds out that the hospital is being razed by fire. Aling Gloria’s action puts her and her son’s life in danger.  The incident leads Doc Dennis to make a decision that causes a huge misunderstanding between him and Doc Gab.

Will this be the end for Doc Dennis and Doc Gab? Will issues like corruption and deceit surrounding the hospital be addressed? And after all their struggles and sacrifices in the hospital, who will leave the country for greener pastures?

Under the direction of Adolf Alix Jr., Sa Puso Ni Dok also stars Anita Linda, Menggie Cobarrubias, Maey Bautista, AJ Dee, Gigi Locsin, Stephanie Sol, Elijah Alejo, Flor Salanga and Sunshine Teodoro.
