Robin Williams' quotes that will pull your heartstrings

Alixandra Caole Vila - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Robin Williams once said, 'death is nature's way of saying, your table is ready.' And for all of us he has left, ‘the table was prepared too early.’

On Monday, August 11 (Tuesday, August 12 in Philippines), Robin Williams was found dead in Marin County, California due to suspected suicide.

We have seen his comedic talent in Mrs. Doubtfire, Jack and Aladdin, and Patch Adams; and we have seen his profundity in Good Will Hunting, What Dreams May Come, and The Dead Poets Society. He did not just illustrate the perfect humor of a comedian but also the intense depth of a philosopher. He showed us so many things that cannot be shown by people without the appreciation of both the joy and darkness of life.

The adorable man will be missed greatly. After all, only a true blood philosopher can pull off both humorous wit and thoughtful insights.

The words he had imparted - those with a light touch of humor, those with great amount of sensibility, those with deep philosophical lessons, had shaped the generation today in so many ways.

The whole world has responded to his death by expressing massive outburst of grief-stricken commemoration to the dearly loved entertainer. And to further honor the untimely death of the renowned and loved actor, here are some of the gut-wrenching and beautiful quotes left by Robin Williams for us to carry in the world he tragically left.

For those who think that being alone is a feeling that is not supposed to be felt.

I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone, it’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people that make you feel alone.

Holding a grudge over someone is painful, by holding over yourself is the worst.  Learn to forgive yourself, not just other people.

Good people end up in Hell because they can’t forgive themselves.

We are all familiar with 'YOLO.' But, Robin Williams has a profound way of saying it.

You’re only given a little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it.

Sometimes, the best way to win is to just keep your mouth shut.

Never fight with an ugly person, they’ve got nothing to lose.

And for everyone who loves 420, this is a shout out from the man.

Do you think God gets stoned? I think so… look at the platypus.

He has taught us to never stop dreaming big and never stop dreaming until you finally reach it.

No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.

Robin Williams is the only man who understands women and apparently, PMS.

A nuclear bomb is a man’s way of saying, ‘I’m gonna fuck up the earth.’ A woman would never make a nuclear bomb. They would never make a weapon that kills. They’d make a weapon that makes you feel bad for a while… That’s why there should be a woman president, there would never be any wars. You know this, it’s the truth. There would never be a war; just every twenty-eight days: some severe negotiations.

He does not just appreciate the strength of women, but he also appreciates the artistic talent of gay people.

We had gay burglars the other night. They broke in and rearranged the furniture.

For the never ending circus in politics...

Politics: “Poli” a Latin word meaning “many”; and "tics" meaning “bloodsucking creatures”.

Preserving memories is a good thing.

Nobody takes a picture of something they want to forget.

And finally, let's all admit that things happen for a reason.

I believe in destiny. There must be a reason that I am as I am. There must be.
