MANILA, Philippines - Erich Gonzales (photo) will inspire televiewers tomorrow, July 12, as she portrays the role of a visually-impaired model-beauty queen named Jessa on ABS-CBN’s Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK).
Inheriting her mother’s glaucoma and losing her eyesight at the age of 18, Jessa grew up being bullied in school. But she became a source of inspiration to blind students and other people, especially when she was crowned Miss Philippines on Vision 2013.
Also in the cast are Irma Adlawan, William Lorenzo, Nikki Bagaporo, Abby Bautista, Bianca Bentulan, Ogie Escanilla, Louise Bernardo, Joe Gruta, Amy Robles, Dionne Monsanto, Nina Ricci Alagao and Koreen Medina. The episode is directed by Nuel Naval and written by Joan Habana. MMK is led by business unit head Malou Santos and creative manager Mel Mendoza-del Rosario.
Running for 23 years now, MMK has a legion of fans from different generations who have cried, laughed, fell in love and got inspired through the real-life narratives of the show’s letter-senders.
MMK airs Saturday nights at 8 after Home Sweetie Home.
